Every year in October, a special event called Mamanet takes place to raise awareness about the importance of early detection in breast cancer. The event aims to save lives by promoting regular check-ups and screenings. With more than 1,000 participants, Mamanet brings people together to celebrate life and honor those who have lost their battle with the disease. The event was originally created by breast cancer survivors who are also part of the Mamanet community. In fact, it has been replicated in various countries around the world. Their motto, “we play on the court and not with our lives,” emphasizes the importance of taking preventive measures and prioritizing one’s health.
